In November we travelled to Copenhagen, Denmark, for the Alzheimer Europe conference. Our abstract submission had been accepted for a poster presentation and we saw this as an excellent opportunity to showcase our project, the progress and hopefully attract some supporters.
The feedback from attendees was overwhelming – everyone we spoke to was so impressed. With such an international audience, we were not surprised by the most common question: “will this be available in other languages too” – to which the answer is of course “yes”. For starters, our author, Elvira Ashby, is Swedish and Nina, Co Founder, is Finnish. As soon as the English version is up and running we will explore other languages.
The highlight of the event (although it happened weeks later) was an email from Alzheimer Europe’s Executive Director, Jean Georges, congratulating us on receiving most votes in the poster competition. That was out of nearly 100 posters! Winning also included €750, which will be make a huge difference to the project. So thank you to everyone who voted! You can view the full poster here (the space in the middle is for the ipad, which displayed a looping video of all the positive feedback we’ve received online).
